Hey mom and dad,
this week for me was a good one. one of the best days we had was on friday. we went housing in the morning and often people dont really talk in the morning. so we housed and we were shut down pretty hard on most of the houses we knocked on and my comp was starting to get bothered by it but we continued. acouple houses later we got shut down by this lady who said she was a member of GLA. i have no clue what kind of religoin that is but i simply asked her what is that. I have never heard of that religion before. then she came out of her house and we talked for about20 min. about her ideas and she said that people dont just run into eachother by chance but that god planned it. she was way open to talking about religion. she actually welcomed it. it was amazing. she didnt become a new investigator that day but we got all of her information and plan on meeting her in the coming weeks. after that house we had alittle more time so we decided to work toward the direction of our bikes. the last do that we knocked on before our bikes was and old man. 60`s or 70`s and we talke to him for a good while about how he believes that god exists and how he believes that god is protecting his house and family. He also talked about haveing a good attitude and not being quick to judge. he was way cool. sometimes his japanese was hard to understand but i got the gist of it. he did become anew investigator and we plan on seeing him this week.
i am having a great time here in nabari. if i would have come here one transfer before i know that i would not be having such a great time as i am know. this is a good area even though there is almost no place to street. houses never move so it is easy to going to them. I feel that i was being prepared to come here. maybe not to do anything to crazy but to work here witha good attitude. before this i hated the idea of going to a place in the country side but now i love it and it is way fun.
life is great in the service of the lord.
i miss trevor. i am glad he gave a good talk. did he speak Romanian on accident of make funny sentences when we gave his talk? As missionaries in japan we always joke about that. i can tell that my english has gone down. i either make a funny sentence in english or I am only make the sentence in japanese and i dont know/remember how it translate itin to english. i occationaly think of my homecoming talk and how well i will speak because right now if i did it i would rather give my talk in japanese. it just feels easier.
well, thanks for the emails and the testimony. it is always good to hear those.
Love
