hey mom and dad,
i bet you are a little suprized to see my email so early.we have a special comp exchange that starts on monday so they moved our p-day to saturday. this is just for next week. after that it should be the same. this week you can send your email as normal or wait till the following week to send it. i wont beable to read my email until december6 so if you dont want to write this week that is ok.
so how was thanksgiveme?
my thanks giving actually wasnt toobad. we went to an investigators house who we are really good friends with and we talked withthem for alittlebit and the made us dinner. i really hadnt planned anythingfor thanksgiving. i had a comp exchange the day before and it ended on thanksgiving so i didnt have preperation time. this dinner at the investigators house was way good. it wasnt the usual thanksgiving. it was done brazilian style. it was good and it had chicken. Pretty close to turkey so i am not complaining.
the other day we found this lady who speaks way good english and she said that her mom had met with the missionaries along time ago when sister missionaries used to live here. we talked to her for alittle bit and she said that she had been looking for the missionaries. She has 2 kids:11 and 4. she said that she wanted be a good mom and wanted to help her kids. she feltlike we could do that for her. She is right. we dont have a next appointment yet. she needed to talk to her husband first. i hope she calls ifnot we will definately give her a call. she is also very good in english. she said that she watches tv in english.
this week was a good week. had some fun and worked hard. Transfers are in acoulpe of weeks. dont know what will happen but i am excited to go and work where ever i need to. thanks for every thing by the way i havent got some msf rembursments in yet so i tooksome money out for trains. like 60 bucks. it gets expensive when you live far. sorry. most of that i can reimburse so i hsould have about40 bucks come back to me. love you, cant wait to hear from you next week.

Hey mom and dad,
this week for me was a good one. one of the best days we had was on friday. we went housing in the morning and often people dont really talk in the morning. so we housed and we were shut down pretty hard on most of the houses we knocked on and my comp was starting to get bothered by it but we continued. acouple houses later we got shut down by this lady who said she was a member of GLA. i have no clue what kind of religoin that is but i simply asked her what is that. I have never heard of that religion before. then she came out of her house and we talked for about20 min. about her ideas and she said that people dont just run into eachother by chance but that god planned it. she was way open to talking about religion. she actually welcomed it. it was amazing. she didnt become a new investigator that day but we got all of her information and plan on meeting her in the coming weeks. after that house we had alittle more time so we decided to work toward the direction of our bikes. the last do that we knocked on before our bikes was and old man. 60`s or 70`s and we talke to him for a good while about how he believes that god exists and how he believes that god is protecting his house and family. He also talked about haveing a good attitude and not being quick to judge. he was way cool. sometimes his japanese was hard to understand but i got the gist of it. he did become anew investigator and we plan on seeing him this week.
i am having a great time here in nabari. if i would have come here one transfer before i know that i would not be having such a great time as i am know. this is a good area even though there is almost no place to street. houses never move so it is easy to going to them. I feel that i was being prepared to come here. maybe not to do anything to crazy but to work here witha good attitude. before this i hated the idea of going to a place in the country side but now i love it and it is way fun.
life is great in the service of the lord.
i miss trevor. i am glad he gave a good talk. did he speak Romanian on accident of make funny sentences when we gave his talk? As missionaries in japan we always joke about that. i can tell that my english has gone down. i either make a funny sentence in english or I am only make the sentence in japanese and i dont know/remember how it translate itin to english. i occationaly think of my homecoming talk and how well i will speak because right now if i did it i would rather give my talk in japanese. it just feels easier.
well, thanks for the emails and the testimony. it is always good to hear those.

hey mom and dad,
sounds like this week was a good week. congratulations on the deer dad! cant wait to get back and go hunting and fishing.
life is going good. i am in a branch of about 30 people. good branch. very nice member. the branch/wards make a rescue list for activation. from that list ward members or ward presidency members try and help reactivate them. if members are doing it i am not sure. never really asked but as missionaries we definitely go and visit less actives and try to get them to come back to Church. we actually when yesterday after church. its really fun to do.
so my Portuguese hasn't improved that much. i got a new pmg in Japanese(kanji and hiragana only) so i have been way excited to read it. that kind of set my Portuguese on the back burner. it is hard to study both languages if i am not always studying and relay diligent. after a week the excitement of getting the new pmg will wear off so after that it might get better. but i really want to learn some Portuguese so i can understand what big-j says and then i can talk to Slater about it in Japanese. it will be way fun.
ok so my address is: miyaken, nabari-shi, konodai 3-43, if you type this in the way it is in google earth it will be hard to find but if you can type in the kanji you can find it really easy. i did it with a
less active on his i phone. i don't know the kanji now and it is really hard to type kanji so i will see what i can do. have fun!
i dont have that muchtime left. i cant afford to not work hard, i cant afford to have a wasted day. i started to realize this when i came to Nabari. i wish i would have had this sense of urgency when igot here but thats in the past. now is now and that s all i can worry about. this work is amazing. being able to teach in the language of my ancestors is a great blessing and opportunity. there is nothing iw ould rather be doing.

Hey mom and dad.
First my area is awesome as usual. it is the countryside. there are alot of rice patties and other fields. some places are way far in the mountains so it is a little work out going up the hills. we have a good time. there is also a ninja museum that is like an hour away. i plan on going to that in the next couple of weeks. there is one place where alot of brazilians / portuguese speaking people live but we only go there about once a week. it is far and we have to take the train which can get expensive. and my companion rotates around like everyone else. sometimes he will go to an area that has more portuguese speakers sometimes he wont. it just depends.
My protuguese learning has slowed down because i am waiting for a book from the mission office to help me study. i do what i can. i drew a picture for on brazilian family and they loved it to death. i just try to think of ways to speak without using portuguese.
Nabari is doing great. we are having a good time. we are making some good friends that we will eventually be able to make into investigators i hope. we will see. i don't really have anything to crazy to report or say today. life is great! the book of mormon is an amazing book that blesses the lives of all those that read it.
I love you so much. thanks for everything!!!
Next week i will try and have a good story to tell you.
