Hey mom and dad,

WOW! what a shock. what is grandma going to do. is she going to go live with some or will dad stay up there for a while? the weird thing is that last night i decided to write a letter to grandma and grandpa price. i am not a big fan of writting letter but last night i just did it for some reason. looking back i would say that i was prompted by the spirit to do it. looking back i wonder if grandpa, after he died, saw the words that i wrote. i know he liked it when i spoke in japanese so i wrote his part in japanese. i probably will never send that letter but just the fact that i wrote in on the same day or even time that grandpa died is kind of mysterious. i dont think it was by accident.

it is sad that grandpa price died. i would have loved to speak japanese with him after i got back from my mission. i was really looking forward to it but even though he has left this world i still feel comforted. i know that grandpa and grandma ryu will be withme as i share this gospel with the japanese people. if anything this makes me want to work even harder.

i am so greatful for this gospel. without it, this could be devistating news. yes it is extremely sad but because i know what is after this life and that i can seehim agian i dont need to worry.

i love you all and i am thankful for your prayers. the mission is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
