Christian and his first companion

Hey Dad,

LIfe in japan is awesome. typing on this computer is really hard. it is really small and some of the buttons are really small. Iam in yamatokoriyama. it is the biggest mission area in my mission. my companions name is Iami. he is a nihonjin from hokaido. he is crazy. we get along really well. my first reall japanese meal was really good. i ate it at a members house. they are really nice and have 2 kids. i dont remember what the name of the meal was but it was really good. my mission president is amazing. he is a great guy and i am glad to be serving under him. my P-days are on mondays. not to much of a change from the MTC. but mondays are like early tuesday mornings i think? life is great teaching is hard because i never know were my companion is in the lesson and then he wants me to testify or something and i have no clue what to say. also i cant understand anyone. that makes life even more difficult. i am trying really hard to learn the language. my biggest challenge is learning the vocabulary and the slang form because that is what alot of people use. i came into a good pool of investigators so we are really busy some days. i am working hard and loving the people. thank you for everything.
