Hey mom and dad,

I am glad to hear that Easter was a good one. So this week was transfer week and guess what...I stayed and I got a new transfer 6 companion. Guess where he is from? Not Japan, not America, BRAZIL! I got another Brazilian and he is awesome. Every day has been a party. His name is Elder Dantas. He is from Sao Palo. ( the capital). I will send a pic. It is awesome. And I also became the district leader. It kind of makes my nights crazy and I feel a little pressure but i think the lord gave me this new awesome crazy companion to help me with this assignment. I am so excited for this transfer. We are going to see miracles.

Other news, there is a very very very very tiny shortage of food but you don’t really notice it. All you need is there. We haven’t really been affected. But we have been affected in another way. I just got a call that was for my district. They are going to start to send the Tokyo missionaries back to Tokyo little by little starting in may! That is way cool that they get to go back but it is sad to because all of the missionaries from Tokyo are way cool and it is nice working with them. I have 2 in my district and when i told them they were like great we get to go back but they all so were like man I want to stay. It is really going to be an interesting transfer.

Yes Japan has dogs and cats. They even have catladys. There is one that is a recent convert in our ward. We also talk to a lot of people that are walking their dogs at a huge park in our area.
I got the package. That was such a surprise. I totally forgot about Easter. Thank you. The candy was soooooooo good.

So my apartment is kind of far from the police station and city office. Here is the church's address. hyogoken nishiwakishi nomuracho 1370. I live in between the church and the Nishiwaki train station. I mean it is like perfectly in the middle. Hope that helps.

Other than that life is a blast. I only have 4 transfers left. It is crazy. I am the oldest in my district. I almost don’t believe it. The mission is awesome I wouldn’t trade is for the world. I love you all and stay true to the faith.

Love

HELLO mom and dad,

Thanks for the emails. It is always good to hear that the boat still works, and the house is still in one peice.

The Tokyo missionaries are still here. I don't mind, they are all way cool and my zone leader right now is from Tokyo mission and his home town is Gilbert Arizona. His name is Beazer. He is way cool. AZ kids represent! The mission president said that some might go back this transfer or next transfer. They are still having earth quakes up there and the radiation is still a problem it seems. They may start putitng missionaries in the safe parts of the Tokyo mission but not all can go back because they split the missionaries up in to 3 groups of 40 so not all can go back at once.

Life is good. Transfers are this week. They got extended on week because of the earthquake and a whole lot of other reasons. I will let you know what happens. I don't really have any thing to share this week. I have found a new love for goals. I set a goal to do 8400 pushups in one transfer and last saturday I reach it. It was hard, especially at first but after a while I really had the drive to do it. It felt so good but after I got it I didnt now what to do. I was done. So I set another goal. This is realated to working out but goals with anything are the same when we try to reach the goal we feel
success. Life is the same. When we have a goal of life or purpose of living we can know what direction we want to take in life. It gives us a sense of belonging. Just like I felt weird and empty when I finished my goal and didnt have one, life is the same. Without a goal or purpose we feel empty. Everyone feels this wether they realize it or not. So my job, my responsobility as a misisonary is to help people find that purpose by helping them come unto Christ. This work is amazing and I can't wait to go out everyday and share this message with the world.

Love you, miss you, and can't wait to tell you what cool things happened next week.

PS I might be just as bad or worse than jacob when I talk. There are some words that I have forgotten because the word in japanese is easier to use. It will be fun.

Hey mom and dad,

Confrence was awesome. I pretty much watched it by myself. Not that many people came to chruch to watch it. kind of lonely but knowing that misisonaries all over japan were watching it at the same time as me was comforting.

Well even though I was alone I learned a lot. Of course Elder Oaks talk sat. afternoon was amazing. Elder Oaks said "desires dictate our priorities." So if we really want something we will do what ever it takes to get it. Man do i love confrence. I can't beleive I use to sleep during sunday session and never watched saturday session. What a mistake that was. Well it is never to late to repent right?:)

Well that was about my week. It was full of meetings and train rides. Nothing to exciting. Japan really has turned into home. when I get asked questoins about america I can't really answer them that well. I have kind of forgotten. I dont remember how big stuff is or what american food tastes like. When I think about it is seems like a way distant memory. It is kind of weird.

So who is this Ian character? Why havent i gotten any pictures? I want to know who is dating my little sister so I can know wether or not I need to come home and ruff someone up abit (ok maybe I wouldn't do that but it would be nice to know). it may be a good missionary opportunity?

I love you guys

HEY mom and dad

This week was good. The training was amazing. It was called leadershiop training but it was really just a training on how we can become better missionaries. How we can teach better and stuff like that. It was way awesome. I learned so much. I came back with a strengthened desire to serve. but my comp. didnt come because he is
going home soon and boy did i miss him. The first day was ok but the last 2 my makeshift comp. wasn't really good. Of course we hadn't worked together before but our teacing was horrible. I have always liked my comp, but you never really know how much you appreciate them until they are gone. But other than that all is well. We had a lesson last night and i applied some of what I learened at the training and the
lesson went way well.

That's way cool the the Gurneys are coming down. I miss them. I had no idea that Rachel got married. crazy!!!!!!!! Too many people are getting married while I am
out. Its getting nuts. I didnt think there would be that many.

Life is great. The work is moving forward and I am having fun doing it. I love you guys i wil try and send some pics next week.

love ya
