Hey mom and dad, Thanks for the heads on the bdays. I totally for got about general confrence. In Japan it probably wont be until the week after next so they havent really said anything about it. I am also looking forward to hearing the words of the prophets. Can't wait to see what kind of guidance we get. Good to hear the family and the ward is doing good. you said Ronnie talked. How old is he now? He is priest age right? Well life is good here in Nishiwaki. of course there are hard times but that just makes the good times that much better.(but there really arent any too hard times). I really dont have too much to share this week. This week i am going to Kobe for 3 days for special leadership training. It is still kind of cold here. its way weird. it has been a really cold year. it snowed last week which is totaly not usual. right now it is supposed to be getting way hot. the weather has been strange this year. Well all is well. We dont hear too much about the disaster in Sendai anymore. You do if you ask about it but because we are so far a way that it doesnt really affect us. The chruch had a special fast and a lot of people are donating supplies and stuff but other than that it feels the same. Well I love you guys. Cant wait to hear how good confrence was and what talks I should be looking out for. love elder christian price

Hey mom and dad,
The baptism was great. there were alot of miracles that went into
making this baptism happen. First the person that baptized him was a
recent convert and had quite smoking before he got baptized but he
fell back into the habit. About 1 week before the baptism he quit
cold turkey and he hasnt smoked since. I know that that was the Lords
doing. This recent convert is an insane guitarist and the kid that
was baptized loves guitar. It meant alot to him to have what you could
say his idol baptize him. Next there was an investigator who always comes
to chruch with a friend that is way cool but he himself doesnt really want to
join the chruch and he wanted to ask our investigator why he wanted to
get baptized. If he did this he would not do it nicely and this may
cause our investigator to choose not to get baptized. Well this
person got a 3 day cold that he has never had before that kept him from
coming to a fhe activity and chruch. I know that the Lord was watching
out for our boy Satoshi. by the way that is is name Suzuki Satoshi.
he is 16 and was cool. i will send a pic.
Japan is on fire. We were affected by the 40 odd missionaries coming
from tokyo and sendi missions. This transfer we will not have a
transfer. The next transfer will be in may. The chruch moved this
transfer date up to last Friday to accomodate for the 40 elders
coming in. I stayed the same but the other elders in my distirct all
got tokyo missionaries and one area got reopened. Even with these
changes i dont think we skipped a step but it is probably crazy in
the mission office.
I love you guys. Thanks for the support and love. It really helps to
know that everything is well at home.

Christian and his new companion
Hey mom and dad,
Yes i am alright. I actually didnt feel it but all of the other areas in my district did. I dont know alot. You probably know more than I do. But as missionaries in the Kobe mission i dont think we will go to help with the clean up. I talked to sister mcintyre yesterday about the possibility of going and helping and she pretty much said that some of the missionaries in the Sendai mission will stay and that some of them will go elsewhere to finsih their missions. We will probably hear more about it in the coming weeks but as for now it is looking like i will not play any major part in helping out in sendai.
The tsunami mainly hit Sendai. it did not come to Kobe but the earth quake was felt in the mission home.
So the missionary work here is going well. it is too early to tell if people will be more receptive to the gospel or not but i do know that we have a baptism this coming sunday. He is 16 and way ready. his mom is a member and he has made some good friends in the ward. He is a good kid. we arekeeping busy with other investigators and other finding activities.
Dad, you asked me to buy some cup of noodles which i will but about 5 months ago, maybe alittle longer the mission gave every area two survival kits or two bags with alot of food and water. We are preparing for somthing. It does make me feel alittle safer knowing
that we do have that food just incase.
Well that was my week. nothing to crazy. I did get an umbrella from and old lady though. she didnt want to hear our message but she was willing to part with an umbrella. That just shows that the japanese people are really nice just some arent crazy intrested in the message that will save their lives.
All is well. I love the japanese comps. it is a great blessing to have them.
I love you family and make sure to tell everyone thanks for asking about me.
see ya next week,

Earthquake Update #2
As you have probably heard by now, the quakes (after shocks) continue and the damage and death toll is large in the Tohoku region. All missionaries in all missions except Sendai are accounted for. The mission president in Sendai has made contact with the church offices in Tokyo and he says most his missionaries are accounted for and safe. There are still a few they cannot get in contact with. The communication systems are still down. Some Tsunami did reach our mission here, but no damage has been reported. Most of Japan is still on Tsunami alert as aftershocks continue. Our hearts go out to the people up north who are suffering from one the biggest natural disasters of all time here. Our immediate family is safe, including those living in the affected region.

Earthquake and Tsunami UPDATE
A few hours ago the Tohoku region of Japan was hit by a series of very large earthquakes followed by giant Tsunami waves. All missionaries in the Japan Kobe Mission are safe and accounted for. The impact of the quakes were not felt this far away, but several areas in our mission are still under Tsunami warning. Missionaries have been notified to evacuate to safe ground. The effects of the quakes (which seems to still be occurring) and tsunami's are widespread through several areas of Japan, but the Sendai Mission areas seems the hardest hit. We are trying to make contact with church leaders there but communications lines are still down.
Sister McIntyre's family is from this region and we have been able to make contact via text message and have found out they are safe. We pray for all the people in that regions and others affected by this disaster.

Hey mom and dad,
Thanks for the emails. So the big news about transfers is my area got
closed. Kind of sad but I think that is what it needed. I am now in
NISHIWAKI. It is more country than Nabari but the members here are on
fire. They are amazing. I have only been here for 5 days and they
are full of love and want to help the missionaries. I feel good about
working here. I am excited to have a new start. My new comp. is you
guessed it Japanese. He is from Hokkaido. He is way cool and way good
at talking with people. Sorry no pictures today I forgot my camera but
next week for sure.
My testimony has really been strengthened these past couple of months.
Nabari was very hard. It was a struggle. But now I am in Nishiwaki
and this place seems like Osaka city to me. All I can think about is
where to go and talk to people. How to contact them. My whole
thinking has changed. It is like a switch has been flipped. I know
that we all have trials for a reason and if we bear them well we will
receive blessings. I know this without a doubt.
It’s kind of short but thanks for everything. I love you guys so much
and I can’t wait for you guys to come after I have worked as hard as I
can to share the gospel with the Japanese people.

Love,
