hey dad

yes i am in more of the city but we dont go out to eat alot. we mainly make our own food. the biggest thing is that money. if we save our money month to month then we can have alittle fun cash to eat out. we got to some shops after district meetings or lesson appointments but thats about it.
i will see what i can to about the picture.

working here is the best. we meet so many cool people. some we have made friends with so when they see us they say hi and we talk to them for alittle bit. the ward is awesome. everyone is so nice and friendly. it is cool so see such a close ward. because teh wards are small people react more with eachother. it is cool to see. a new member moved to this ward 2 weeks ago and this week we had a pot luck after chruch to welcome them. i was thinking that doesnt happen in america. some people might invite them over to there house but not a big party with everyone. it was way cool. the ward that moved in is awesome and they have the fire to do missionary work.
i think you are right about being righteous. we always need to remember we are not perfect. if we were there would be no point in living. having the desire to change and then doing your best is all the lord ask of us. thats what is so great about this life and this gospel
the mission is the best! we are doing what we can to help other come unto christ. thats all we can do is work everyday and ahve the faith that the lord will provide us with people that want to learn.
on the map there is a kyoritsu hospital. there is a light above the hospital. my apartment is above that light and to the right.

love you

hey dad,

i really rode the jeep hard. sorry. i always thought it was a new car. i can see why marshal wants the jeep. its way cool. dont change the clutch too much. i actually really liked it. it made it so i couldnt `ride the clutch` because you know exactly when it is engaged and when it is not. thats just my preference. how are you going to work on it this time? are you going to put the jeep in the garage?i loved your analogy about the chruch. i may use that in my lessons. examples are always a good way to teach principles especially if they dont know anything about this chruch or christianity for that matter.

i do try and learn thought the spirit but in the scriptures it says that you will know it in your mind and in your heart. my take on that is that you have to think about it first and then the spirit will say `yes your thinking is right` or `nope thats not it try again`. ofcourse i probably think about it too much some times but i am only human. but the spirit definitely needs to be there.
about the nextfil move thing. could you stream it from the computer to the xbox? just a thought.

me and slater are doing awesome. because we know eachother we are more comfortable with eachother and we have alot of fun doing missionary work. i am going to lear alot form him. its going to be great. the new area isgreat. we do alot of streeting. this new area is more city. yamato koriyam was more country side. we are actually using the ukelele i bought to do missionary work. it helps us make really comfortable contacts and it helps people see that we arent so different from them afterall.b ya we get around pretty easy. if we cant find a place we just ask people. they love tohelp us and they are supprised that we speak japanese. they ward is really big. about 100 members. their chruch is huge! of course not as big as ones in america but for japan it is pretty big. no one sees me as japanese. ihave to tell them or when they see grandmas pictures they ask. story time.

while streeting we contacted some kids and they were going to see the sakura. one of them was really nice and invited us along. it was way strange. most people dont just invite us places but we said `ok` becuase there were alot of kids going and it could be a good missionary opportunity. this experience was way cool. it was japanese culture that i probably would have never seen if we had not talked to this kid. it was way fun and i got a picture with all of the kids that were there. the really nice kid exchange phone numbers this us and we are planning to meet him later. the little adventure turned out to be a success.

i love it here and i am excited to become an even better missionary while working with slater.

Hey dad,

sounds like conference was fun. i actually havent had conference yet. in japan they recieve DVD`s and watch it the week after so i will watch it this coming sunday. i will probably go to a different building for conference. groups of missionaries will get together and watch conference at a chruch building in english while the japanese watch it in their language. it is kind of like a little zone conference. it sounds fun. i will report about it next week.

so yes i moved out of yamatokoriyama. i am now in the hanayashiki area. i will send the address next week. so i got a new companion. lets just say that the swat team has been united in the great land of japan.

if you didnt catch what i was saying it means that i am comps with ELDER SLATER!!!!!!!!!!!! i was so surprised when i got he call and they told me that iwas going to behis comp. i thought it was too good to be true. we work well together. we have found 5 new investigators since we have been here. we are realy doing a lot of good work. i pray it continues.
i would love to have the audio version for my dictionary. that would be way cool. i was also wondering if you could find other dictionaries that i could use for my dictionary. a better english dictionary, and an encyclopedia would be nice. i get questions and i cant answer them all the way because my dictionary doesnt have the best english dictionaryand it doesnt ahve an encyclopedia. also could you find a portegues dictionary. some areas have protuegues speaking people and when i go on exchanges and meet these people i cant do anything. for all of these dictionaries i dont want you to spend money. i dont have to have these it would just be a nice commodity.

other than that life has been great. life with an american comp. is really weird but i am glad my first experience was with elder slater. we are going to do great. work doesnt seem like work when we are together. it is just fun. its amazing. i dont have any cool stories today but i hope to have some next week.

love you and thanks for all of your support. iknow you always have my back. thanks
